The rich tradition of greeting the good and the new in Chinese culture is honoured by the Oakley® 2024 Lunar New Year Collection, which was designed to celebrate this occasion. The collection invites users to break away from convention and boldly embrace the future by drawing inspiration from the powerful energy of the Wood Dragon, which is the Chinese Zodiac sign for the year 2024.
Because it is the only mythical creature that appears in the Chinese zodiac, the dragon is a symbol of one-of-a-kind excellence. Dragons are characterised by their boundless passion, self-assurance, and mastery, as well as their natural bravery, tenacity, and intelligence. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that it is characterised by its audacious and forward-thinking nature, characteristics that the brand embraces and brings to life in its most recent collection.
The four-piece 2024 Lunar New Year Collection reimagines two historic eyewear styles, Holbrook® and Sutro. Embellished with flaming Prizm™24K lenses they come with a bespoke microbag that is adorned with a hand-drawn dragon logo print. The designs are characterised by a mesmerising geometrical pattern on their stems, which represents lunar shadows and moon phases taken from the lunar calendar. Additionally, the lens is adorned with a distinctive Lunar Dragon insignia. The set is finished off with the Line Miner™Goggles with Prizm™Snow Torch, which also have the unique geometrical design on the strap, and the MOD1 helmet, which features hand-drawn dragon logos on the temples.
