Burton AK Snowboard Snowboard Gear

Burton Snowboards are the leading brand for the global snowboarding industry. Since the 1980s, Burton has developed rider driven snowboard outerwear like the Burton Riding Suit and the first technical snowboard jackets. In the early 2000s, snowboarding had introduced a new era of freestyle big-mountain riding and along with it came the first technical-high performance backcountry outerwear under the brand [AK].

Many don't realize the number of industry firsts in technical outerwear that can be credited to our [ak] line.
– Chris Cunningham (Senior Vice President Burton - Global Product)

AK Technical Snowboarding Range

AK was born out of need and necessity. The snowboarders of the time influenced this outerwear, with the ‘AK Jacket’ and’ Hi-Top Pant’ becoming the riding kit for many Burton athletes. Twenty years later, Burton AK is still leading the charge for technical, high-performance snowboarding outerwear. The developers of AK teamed up with Gore-Tex to combine expertise and experience to create a rider driven line of garments with a snowboard specific fit and the most waterproof and breathable membrane. Each garment is engineered with features and technology to keep you riding all day and in any condition.

[AK] offer a range of products from highly waterproof shell jackets and pants to base layers and mid-layers. Each piece is designed to work together to keep you warm, dry and safe.
