After Volkl tweaked the ski last year the 2019 Volkl Yumi women's all mountain freeride ski has absolutely exploded into one of the more popular women's skis. The added Titanal Band has increased the stability at higher speeds and opened it up to a whole new category of skiers whilst maintaining the Tip and Tail Rocker and Full sidewall ensuring the Yumi is easy to turn and most importantly still remains controllable for the lower intermediate skiers. This makes the Yumi the perfect choice of ski for less aggressive women who want a ski that can really progress with their skill without being too tough initially.
As with all our Volkl skis we recommended mounting the Yumi with any of the Marker Royal Family. The Marker Squire 11 ID is lightweight and has a wide footprint for power transfer making it an obvious choice for the ski.
