The 2022 Rossignol R6 Compact Men’s Carving ski is a fantastic choice for progressing skier who is at home railing short or long carving turns on predominantly piste terrain. The R6 is ideal for someone who looks for all the characteristics that a race ski provides without requiring such high speeds or muscle. With its narrow 73mm waist it is lightning-fast edge to edge, teamed up with Rossignol’s new Flex Tip technology the R6 allows its rider easy acceleration in and out of turns.
The R6 features a Poplar wood core which gives it a nice balance of dampness while remaining light and playful. It also has a central “power rail” that is integrated with the core of the ski, running from tip to tail that keeps this light ski torsionally rigid while still delivery that silky-smooth powerful ride you expect from a carving ski. With an oversized side cut and a short turning radius this ski delivers amazing edge hold and stability in varying snow conditions along with effortless on piste carving reduces fatigue allowing you to get those extra few runs in before last call. The On-Trail rocker profile in the tip allows for an easier turn initiation without compromising on edge hold or power through the turn.
