The 2022 Volkl Kendo 88 is an all mountain/freeride classic for people of a wide range of abilities from intermediate – expert. Somewhat of a younger brother to the M5 Mantra, the Kendo 88 shares a lot of the same qualities but is a little bit narrower and accessible to more ability levels. The Kendo, however, can certainly hold its own and will ski phenomenally in all conditions from icy groomers to powdery bowls. Giving you stability on-piste, as well as playfulness and pop off-piste, the Kendo 88 is incredibly fun and after one lap you will be itching for more! The Kendo 88 features the Volkl 3D Radius sidecut technology which allows for smooth transitions and performance in a variety of conditions, whether your carving groomers or navigating moguls. The construction is the same as the Mantra with a Multi-Layer Woodcore supported by a titanal frame and carbon tips, giving supreme stability at speeds and making the ski highly durable. The 88mm width underfoot makes this ski the perfect all mountain weapon and we particularly recommend it for advanced skiers who might ski a lot in Australia, New Zealand or Europe and want that do-it-all ski that is not too wide. For the Kendo 88 we recommend using a binding from the Marker Royal family such as the Griffon 13 ID for ultimate performance. The Volkl Kendo 88 is a ski that is built for sustained performance time and time again.
